Student Representatives
The College is looking for two types of representatives:
Course Level: Contribute to improving your course for you and your peers by attending termly Course Review Meetings and Divisional Focus Groups
Divisional Level: Improve the learning experience for all students by attending termly Senior Leadership Focus Groups. It is a reps role to express the collective view of the students on their course and ensure that this view is heard by those in a position to effect change. This may involve lobbying teachers, tutors, Curriculum Leaders or Heads of Department for more resources, faster feedback, better time tables or improved facilities.
On occasion, reps may be required to represent a view they do not necessarily agree with but if it is the view of the group then it is the representative's responsibility to articulate this to the best of their ability.

The Student Council operates independently from College processes, is however, safeguarded through the attendance of College staff. The Student Council supports the Student Governors in providing them with information about the student body, their satisfaction and dissatisfaction but also arranges events. The Student Council provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills and learn about the democratic process first hand.
