The first SCC "Hastings Food Festival" was launched on Monday 8th March 2010

The first SCC "Hastings Food Festival" was launched on Monday 8th March 2010. The day involved catering students working together with 9 local restaurateurs and chefs, including St Clements- Michelin Bib Gourmand, Webbe’s and Jali- Hastings’ award winning Indian restaurant. The public were invited to taste any two dishes for free- which quickly attracted 1,000 visitors.

Visitors were asked to vote for their favourite dish and college Principal Sue Middlehurst presented Jali Restaurant with the award for 2010 for its delicious tandoor-cooked chicken simmered in tomatoes, pepper and fenugreek, which received a convincing 27% of all votes cast.
