Students from the Pestalozzi village who are studying the International Baccalaureate have formed a UNYSA group, which stands for United Nations Youth and Student Association. The aim of the group is to raise awareness of important topics, attending weekly meetings to discuss issues such as climate change, fair trade, HIV and slavery. Amidst their busy study-schedule the group are planning to run fundraising events to raise money for young people in South Africa.

Group Director, Laxmi Rajak says 'Being director of this group helps me to explore my thoughts through discussion with others.  There are no clubs like this in Nepal, my home country, so this is a great opportunity '.

Information on the group can be found on the Wiki.  If you have suggestions for topics that you feel could be covered during the meetings or would just like to come along and see what it's all about, contact Laxmi on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
