At Sussex Coast College Hastings, we believe work experience enables learners to gain valuable skills and a greater understanding of what is needed to be successful in a business environment.

With an aim to provide high quality placements in a wide variety of sectors, our Work Experience team are actively looking for support from local employers. We really value any offer of support we receive and will work with you to ensure that learners have a worthwhile, safe and enjoyable experience while at the same time, not impacting on your workload. Placements are organised on a flexible basis designed to meet the needs of learners and employers, with appropriate review and feedback stages.

SCCH’s work experience team source and organise placements for both main stream and adult learners. Some of our learners will have a mandatory need to complete a work placement as part of their course but the majority will have opted to do a work placement to gain first hand experience of possible career routes.
