If you’re passionate about sport, there’s great news: you can make a living out of it. Sport and fitness is a huge industry and, with the London 2012 Olympics sparking an increase in the take-up of sports activities across the map, opportunities are growing in coaching, personal training and active leisure management. A level Physical Education will widen your understanding of what makes a balanced, active and healthy lifestyle, while giving you the opportunity to pursue particular areas of interest and strengthen your own performance. You will study socio-cultural and historical effects on sports participation, and learn about the physiological and psychological factors that affect performance, including biochemical effects and the nature and development of elite performance.
