This Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Public Services aims to give you a good insight into working in the sector so that you will be able to make an informed choice about your career. The course also aims to develop valuable life skills, with a focus on leadership, teamwork, communications, problem solving and fitness. This qualification is equivalent to 4 GCSE’s at A* to C. You will also have the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award to at least Bronze level alongside the Diploma. You will be taught by experienced public servants with strong links to the police, army and RAF, offering the chance to enjoy trips like Army Experience Day, Crown Court and the Royal Tattoo, as well as in-house workshops led by service representatives on topics affecting their sectors.

What do I need?

Two grade Ds in English and Maths and two grade Es at GCSE or relevant level 1 qualification. Satisfactory completion of your existing studies.

How will I be assessed?

Through a range of practical and coursework assignments.

What will I learn?

A range of subjects that will enable you to develop interpersonal, expedition and teamwork skills alongside the underpinning knowledge of the uniformed public services.
