From earthquakes to climate change, to the impact of six billion people on the environment, Geography covers a multitude of major challenges facing our unique planet. The subject sits in the middle of the humanities and sciences, so will complement your other options. Students on our A level Geography course learn core concepts in physical and human geography, looking at the themes of challenge and change in the natural and human environment. Topics include rivers, floods and management, coasts, climate, population dynamics, resource management and globalisation. The study skills you gain will be put to the test in practical fieldwork investigations. A level Geography allows you to develop world-awareness and many key skills – explaining its popularity with employers and university departments.

How will I be assessed?
