Hospitality and Catering is an international industry. The UK’s hospitality sector is thriving, and always in need of skilled staff – and there are great career opportunities on our doorstep as well as internationally. Studying for the level 3 Diploma in Professional Cookery & Hospitality Leadership and Supervision, you will explore current trends in the industry and learn what it takes to run a successful kitchen. You will also expand your culinary repertoire and expertise, along with developing your restaurant skills – including your attitude towards teamwork and leadership.
What do I need?
Five GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths or an appropriate level 2 qualification. Satisfactory completion of your existing studies.
How will I be assessed?
You will complete practical demonstrations, assignments and task-based controlled assessments, and take a multiple choice examination.
What will I learn?
You’ll gain a high standard of cookery skills as well as restaurant and event management, while learning other workplace essentials like health and safety in a modern kitchen.
What are my career opportunities?
Many of our students start their career after completing this course – e.g. in catering, events, hotels or tourist services. You may be eligible for opportunities on front- or back-of-house management training schemes at hotel and restaurant chains either locally, nationally or worldwide.
