About this Course
Each and every organisation, from modest private enterprise to vast public corporation, relies on technology – which means it needs skilled technicians to function. Employment in ICT is buoyant and set to grow at five times the average UK employment rate, so if your career dreams include web design, systems analysis or software development, your prospects look rosy. This practical course is designed for you to learn by doing, as you complete tasks which reflect real-world situations. You must be able to work as part of a team to complete tasks to deadlines, negotiating with others to ensure you produce effective work which is of a workplace standard and helping you to build examples of your skills for potential employers. You will develop your skills using animation and graphic design and gain an understanding of how systems work.
What do I need?
A mixture of GSCEs grades E to G. Satisfactory completion of your existing studies.
How will I be assessed?
This is a coursework based qualification and you will be assessed through assignments.
What will I learn?
Internet technology, databases, spreadsheets, multimedia, web design networks, sytems maintenance..
What are my career opportunities?
Some of our students go into employment as business admin apprentices or find other clerical work.

You will have the opportunity to progress on to the Level 2 Diploma in ICT , Apprenticeship.
