Social care workers help people maintain their independence and lead fuller lives by providing support with everyday tasks. By making a difference to someone else’s life, you’ll find you make a difference to yours too. The BTEC level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care will introduce you to different roles in the sector and the skills and knowledge each one requires. Topics covered include anatomy and physiology, equality and diversity, psychology, and safety in health and social care. The course will enable you to develop practical techniques and other essential skills you’ll need for work, such as communication, teamwork, time management and creativity. The course includes plenty of visits and guest speakers, and you will be given the opportunity to learn in a practical setting on a work placement.
