This Level 5 Subject Specialist Diploma in Literacy is the required qualification for those wishing to specialise in the teaching of Literacy in the post-compulsory education sector. The award is aimed at existing teachers of Literacy to adults.

This qualification demonstrates your ability to fulfil the national subject specifications. You will need Level 3 knowledge in English Language skills (ascertained at assessment/interview) and a Literacy teaching placement sufficient to meet the 75 hours logged teaching element of the course.
