Whether you see yourself running your own small business, giving Sir Richard Branson a run for his money, or helping other people’s companies succeed, a good knowledge of financial management is vital if you want to achieve your goal.

 

Our A level Accounting course will equip you with all the knowledge and skills you need to be able to assess the financial performance of all types of business organisation. You will learn how to analyse and evaluate financial data so that you can make informed judgements, decisions and recommendations about how businesses can manage their financial affairs. Under expert guidance, you will study key accounting records like ledgers, balance sheets and profit and loss accounts, as well as learning the various accounting processes for different types of business.

How will I be assessed?

Regular feedback will be provided to you on your performance based upon classroom contribution and completion of case studies in class and homework.

What will I learn?

You will learn the basics of the financial accountancy system from double-entry book-keeping to company financial analysis using accounting ratios.

What are my career opportunities?

Many A level Accounting students go on to university and become qualified accountants working for accountancy practices or within large organisations. Your financial acumen will also be welcome in local government, education or general business management.

Further Study?

Undergraduate studies in business, finance and accountancy at university.  Many students wil study for professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA) whilst employed at university.
