The creative industries are among the top fields for employment within the UK, presenting a wide range of opportunities for those with creative flair including film, graphics and game design. This course allows you to explore and develop your creativity using a variety of exciting technologies employed in the modern creative workplace. The course encompasses a combination of different content forms all strongly linked to art and design, including disciplines as diverse as stills photography and the manipulation of imagery, audio creation, animation, digital illustration, film and video as well as game design and the development of portable technological applications. Additionally you will develop practical skills in art and design as well as understanding broader historical contexts, taught by subject specialists through exciting and lively projects.

What do I need?

Four GCSE s at grade C or above including English and/or Maths or an appropriate level 2 qualification. A portfolio of recent artwork is also required for interview. Satisfactory completion of your existing studies.

How will I be assessed?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutors about your progress on assignments.

What will I learn?

Numerous media disciplines as well as software packages such as Cinema 4D and Photoshop.

What are my career opportunities?

A career in the creative industries such as game design,craftsperson, illustration, media and graphic design.

Further Study?

A Higher Education course such as one of our FdA Degrees, or the BTEC Foundation Diploma Studies in Art & Design followed by Higher Education studies.
