Are you driven by the desire to perform? Maybe you dream of a career in film or television. Your determination to succeed in the performing arts will play a big part in getting you there – but you’ll also need training, experience, versatility and industry knowledge. The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts offers these in abundance, encouraging versatility across the range with units in acting, musical theatre, dance, film and television, as well as giving you the chance to direct. You’ll be part of a theatre company, performing in College as well as in the community and at festivals, mixing traditional theatre with experimental projects. You will also get to grips with production, direction, management and publicity through hands-on experience, taught by professional performers who can give you first-hand knowledge and advice on working in this exciting industry.

What do I need?

Four GCSE s at grade C or above including English and/or Maths or an appropriate level 2 qualification. You will be required to perrform an audition at interview. Satisfactory completion of your existing studies.

How will I be assessed?

Your work will be assessed continuously throughout the course, covering 18 units of study.

What will I learn?

You will learn all the skills necessary to progress further into the world of performing arts, including dance, musical theatre and voice.
