A  thorough introduction to the subject. Candidates will produce practical and critical/contextual work in one or more areas including drawing and painting, mixed media, sculpture, land art, installation, printmaking, lens-based and/or light-based media. You will be expected to demonstrate skills and techniques in your chosen areas of study: making appropriate use of colour, line, tone, texture, shape and form; using different approaches such as observation, analysis, expression and imagination; showing an understanding of the conventions of imagery and genres; and understanding spatial qualities, composition, rhythm, scale and structure. You will gain skills in developing ideas, experimenting with materials, techniques and processes, and presenting a personal, informed and meaningful response.

How will I be assessed?

Through  portfolio presentation, individual research, and personal development and concepts.

A broad knowledge in one or more areas including drawing and painting, mixed media, sculpture, land art, installation, printmaking, lens-based and/or light-based media.
