Drama and Theatre Studies provides excellent preparation for students wishing to study the performing arts at drama school or university. The course focuses on performance skills as well as the styles and practices of leading theatre practitioners and playwrights. You will examine and interpret texts from a performance perspective, and develop the ability to assess the success of productions in terms of directorial interpretation, actors’ performances and stage design. You will also develop and use your skills to produce a group performance of a published play, perform a monologue or duologue, create your own piece of theatre, and study a set text from a director’s perspective.

Through performance, production and written assignments during the course.
