Level 2

Carpenters and joiners are required to prepare, build and install a wide range of wood products including doors, windows, fl oors, walls, stair-cases and roof trusses. On this Apprenticeship you will learn how to set out, prepare, joint cut and shape timber on all kinds of construction products.

What will I gain?
A nationally recognised qualifi cation in your chosen career. (To include NVQ L2, Diploma, Key Skills @ Level 1 & ERR).

Who is it for?
An Apprentice installing a wide range of wood products including doors, windows, fl oors, walls, staircases and roof trusses.

What will I study?
You will learn how to set out, prepare, joint, cut and shape timber for all kinds of projects.

How is work assessed?
You will attend college one day a week and your work will be assessed through observation in your workplace and by building a portfolio of evidence.

What can it lead to?
Development of skills to specialise in certain areas.

How do I get onto the course?
Interview required for admission onto the course, plus confi rmation of full-time employment.
