The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) has been adopted by more than 2,000 schools in 139 countries. A broad and academically challenging curriculum aims to develop in its students an awareness of social, environmental and intercultural issues and independent study skills. The programme is highly popular with students, because they are given the chance to continue a wide variety of subjects at sixth form level, and with universities, because it produces well-rounded, critical-thinking and confident individuals ready for the challenges of further academic study.
