A ICT has revolutionised every part of life, from working to shopping, from education to social networking. Familiar technologies like television, e-mail, mobile telephony are converging, changing society and the world of work.  A level ICT will allow you to develop broad skills as you learn about the role of information, how to manage it and how to manipulate it. The topics you will study include: software and hardware components of information systems; applications for manipulating data; the role and impact of ICT; software development, testing and documentation; networks and communications; and analysing and designing information systems. This qualification will be of value whether you wish to progress to Higher Education or seek employment straight away in the rapidly expanding ICT industry or any one of its related sectors.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a mixture of formal and informal tests, classroom contribution and completion of coursework.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to use and develop industry standard applications that are essential tools in all areas of business and manipulate data to create a wide range of products.

What are my career opportunities?
