A Level 3 learner on the NVQ Apprenticeship in Plumbing has made the finals in the Apprentice of the Year competition.

Norbert Kovacs was one of twelve learners from the South East of England to complete a brief involving various materials and numerous practical tasks.

Although the standard was very high, Norbert won by a clear majority, beating last years' winner.

Norbert will represent the college and the South East in the UK National Final on the 21st and 22nd of April at Newbury Racecourse. Tutor, Steven Hunt, said ‘It goes without saying how immensely proud of Norbert I am’.
