Animation Students Sparkle at Awards Ceremony

Learners on the National Diploma Art and Design visited Old Billingsgate in London in November for the prestigious National Star Awards Ceremony.  The learners were runners-up in the Sparkle Awards (for outstanding creative work) for their stop frame animation project, Jump Jump.

The film involved taking over 600 still images and took three days to make.  It beat over 90 entries to be selected as runner up and was show-cased on a at the ceremony, alongside other prize-winning entries including music, performance and fashion.

The film was directed and shot by Kristian Domingo, with Artur Organesyan as Principal Actor, Rachel Jennings as soundtrack composer and Robert George supporting on lighting, editing, conception, timing and additional facilitating. Rachel said ‘I’m proud of what we have achieved, the awards were amazing!’

Learners David Dangounakis, and Ben Hardy Robert George were also involved in the project.
