Children In Need

On 21st November the college joined BBC Children in Need to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Activities around the college included a cake sale in reception, ‘guess the name of the bear’ and ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ at Enterprise 1, where Learning Mentor, Craig Ottley, was also submitted to a leg wax. Hair & Beauty tutors Hayley Jules and Kristine Dale took to their pyjamas for a sponsored sleep-over, raising over £300. Hayley said ‘the students chickened out in the end, but at least that meant we got some sleep!’

Cat Denning, Learning Support Manager, who was responsible for counting the money raised, said ‘everyone really went for it and I’m pleased to say that the college has raised a magnificent £776.66!
