30th September was the official opening of our Energy Centre on Castleham Industrial Estate. Around 80 people attended the event, including Hastings’ Mayor, Maureen Charlesworth.

The Centre is run by the Construction and Engineering Division and offers training and qualifications in current and emergent energy systems, including solar, wind and nuclear power, water safeguarding, recycling and energy efficiency. Mohan Chana, Assistant Principal for Technology said: 'These new technologies will be the norm in 10-15 years and now the south coast has the facilities to teach suppliers the techniques they need to thrive in the future'.
