Pathway to Construction

Pathway to Construction

On Saturday 5th June, the college will be at Pathway to Construction, a family event in Alexandra Park. The event has been growing year on year since it started in 2005 and attracts families from across the area.  At the event, local schools and construction companies work together to build small-scale, temporary structures in the park.  Their ‘buildings’ are then judged by a panel of construction experts.
The event aims to create awareness of the construction industry and get young people excited about the possibilities it can offer.  There will be plenty of information available, from local employers and colleges, for those wanting to find out if the industry is for them.
The college will have a number of stands at Pathway to Construction and will run activities and demonstrations, from pluming to carpentry.  There will also be local performances, bands, refreshments and fun activities throughout the day.

Pathway to Construction is near the bandstand in Alexandra Park on Saturday 5th June, from 10am to 4pm.  Come along and enjoy yourselves.
