Ambassadors Promote College
Student Ambassadors represent the college and its learners, promoting further education and college as a positive choice.
Sussex Coast College Hastings has 6 Student Ambassadors, from a range of courses.
Jamila Parr is one of the Ambassadors and she describes her role as ‘promoting college through sharing our experiences as keen learners’. Heather O’Moore, a level 3 Childcare student says ‘being an Ambassador allows me to put my confidence and people skills to work for a good cause’.
Natalie Marshall, a Performing Arts Learner, sees the role as ‘an opportunity to meet new people and motivate others to attend college for a better future’. Donna Marie Maplesden, of Academy 6, says ‘being an Ambassador looks good on your CV’ and Lucy Burgess, the Aim Higher Co-ordinator, responsible for Student Ambassadors agrees: ‘This type of experience shows employers you are a self-starter with a responsible attitude. It’s also great to put on your UCAS form if you want to get into Uni’.
