Degree students at the University Centre Hastings will once again be showcasing their creative talents during the Art and Design Degree show.
This year’s exhibition will be held in the University space on the fifth floor at the Station Plaza campus, and will launch with an opening night on Friday 15th June.
It will be the first time that the show is held on the fifth floor, following the development to create the University Centre last September.
The show will feature the work of 50 talented artists, designers, and makers, two of which are post-graduate bound, after securing their place at the prestigious Royal College of Art.
Oscar Yasamee and Godith Hawkins will be moving to London in September to start their Master’s degrees in Painting and Photography.
Ashley Heminway, Higher Education Subject Leader, said: “The Art and Design degree show can be a fantastic platform to launch aspiring artists into their careers."
“The show has always been an exciting finale to the degree course, and this year will be no different, producing some phenomenal work from our 6 BA (Hons) degree courses. We can expect to see some beautiful hand-made jewellery, a range of magnificent paintings, graphic design concepts, breath-taking photographs, short animations, and illustrations.”
“It is great to see all the hard work and dedication that has gone into the last three years, come together for what is sure to be another fantastic four day exhibition.”
The exhibition is open on Friday 15th June from 6pm-9pm, Saturday 16th June from 10am-2pm, and Monday and Tuesday 18th and 19th June from 10am-5pm.
