Georgina White, who has just finished a 6 months season with Eurocamp on the Playa Montroig, not far from the Catalan capital of Barcelona, took some time out to pop in and see her former tutors and the latest cohort of travel and tourism students.
The Level 3 second year students asked Georgina lots of questions about her job, the job application process, what it was like to travel to Liverpool for the interview and what it was like to move away from home for her first season in the French Alps.
Kim Stevens, Travel and Tourism lecturer said: “It was so nice to see Georgina again. I’m so pleased that she’s doing well and having a great time working in her dream job.
It’s great that she was able to come in and talk to the students because it gives them the opportunity to ask all sorts of questions. They can find out what it’s really like to work abroad for months at a time, what her work colleagues are like and how much she gets paid.
The Level 3s are all in the same position that Georgina was in two years ago. They’ve just started their final year of college and they’re all starting to think about applying jobs, so it’s great that they can get advice about what to do next.”
