The new Motor Vehicle Training Centre opens in September, offering local provision of qualifications and hands-on training. Based at 47 London Rd, Bexhill-on-Sea, the Centre has gained IMI (Institute for Motor Industry) accreditation and approval to deliver Entry level 3, level 1 to 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance. Formerly a working garage, the Centre has been given a makeover in preparation for its new role.

Sussex Coast College Hastings is working in collaboration with St. Leonards-on-Sea MOT Test Centre, Sovereign Coachworks and Bexhill 100 club, who will house vintage cars on site and provide technical know-how on restoration. Demand for places is high there are currently 5 groups registered to study, as well as a waiting list. The Motor Vehicle Training Centre is looking for donations of small vehicles for students to work on.
